K9 Rustic Ranch is the perfect place for Ukko to ‘vacation’ when we travel. He really seems to enjoy his visits, and I like knowing that he is getting in some quality play time while we’re away. As an only dog, I think it’s really important for him to have the opportunity to interact with other dogs while we’re away. When he comes home, I can tell he’s had lots of fun running around because he is always good & tired! Thank you everyone at K9 Rustic Ranch for taking care of Ukko when I need to be away!

I have taken my pup, Otis, to Rustic Ranch twice now and am always so happy with how it goes. It is very convenient and they give my dog a lot of love and attention. It is a camp like feel so instead of feeling bad about taking your dog there, you are thinking he is getting a vacation too! When Otis gets back from Rustic Ranch, I know he had a blast because his behavior is better when he gets back. He is much more calm and I think it is because he got all his energy out at the Ranch! I will continue to take my dog to Rustic Ranch any time I am out of town and recommend them very highly to anyone that needs boarding for their dog.

K9 Rustic Ranch is simply the best! We would not trust our fur baby, Toothless, anywhere else but in Kristi’s care. Last year, as new puppy parents, our search for the perfect boarding facility was crucial to our peace of mind. Our search ended at K9 Rustic Ranch. As soon as we met with the team and toured the ranch, we were sold. Of all the places we saw, this was by far the most spacious and comfortable for Toothless.

K9 Rustic Ranch clearly loves these animals as their own, which is evident in their pricing and everything included. While other places charge for providing the basic necessities – feeding, medication, personal attention– this is all included at the Ranch. Most places we looked at charge extra for playtime! Imagine our surprise when we were told that Toothless would be free to run and play his little puppy heart out for most of the day. The big and little dogs are constantly swapped throughout the day for playtime in the big grassy yard. Our little water dog especially loves visiting in the hot months when Kristi has the pool set up for everyone. He also comes home with a bath after every stay and Kristi will pick him up and drop him off at our home for extra convenience (weekdays only).

We are so happy to have found K9 Rustic Ranch and have no intentions of ever looking elsewhere. Toothless always comes home to us exhausted and happy. Once the initial excitement of our return wears off, we can tell he misses the ranch and would much rather be there with all his new dog friends. We truly appreciate the awesome service and peace of mind we get here. Kristi is wonderful to work with and will keep you updated on your pooch with emails while you are away. Thank you for everything K9 Rustic Ranch! Toothless is perpetually looking forward to his next visit!

When we first moved to San Diego a few years ago, we had a very difficult time finding a place to board our German Shepherd, Kaiya. We were shocked by not only the up front expense of most boarding centers, but also by the hidden fees and the ridiculous focus on providing private rooms with couches and televisions for your dog. Kaiya doesn’t need a television; she needs space to run and play. After many frustrating phone calls, someone finally recommended the K9 Rustic Ranch. The price was right and the space looked great. We visited with Kaiya before leaving on a holiday trip and she loved it. Now we use the convenient pick-up and delivery option. As soon as Kristi pulls up to the house, Kaiya can’t wait to run and jump into her car and get to the Ranch. We never ever feel guilty about leaving Kaiya because we know she is receiving excellent care and her actual dog needs, not the technological needs some other overpriced places invent, are being met. Kaiya comes home clean, happy, and exhausted, a sign of a wonderful boarding experience. We can’t recommend K9 Rustic Ranch enough.

K9 Ranch was recommended by my neighbors who have 4 dogs! It was very important to us to find a very good place that I could trust for our 7 months old cockapoo that we just adopted a couple of months earlier. That was going to be Jowi’s first boarding experience and it was for 4 nights. The lady who came to pick him up at home (very convenient) was really nice, knowledgeable and took the time to meet and know Jowi better by playing with him, asking questions about him, seeing what Jowi was able to do as far as training and gave him the time he needed to get used to his new leash. While Jowi was away I contacted the ranch to check on Jowi and my calls were returned the same day by Kristi.

Jowi, timid at first, adapted really well and made some friends! He came back home smelling good after the free bath he was given! We were very happy to be reunited and Jowi slept a lot the next day quite tired by his vacation at K9 Ranch! He was a happy dog going there but most importantly still himself coming back!! It was a really good social experience for him and a relief for us to know he was in good care so we could enjoy our little vacation!

K9 RR is one of the best if not THE best place I have boarded my dog. Having a 120 pound Rottie some people are very apprehensive about looking over him while I travel. I needed someone I could trust my with my dog. Kristi has no fear with it comes with dog, well I think! I feel such at ease when Roscoe is with her! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH KRISTI FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO!! I will continiue using K9 RR for many years to come!!

When I had a last-minute requirement to board my dog, Lava, during the Thanksgiving holidays in 2009, Kristi at
K9 Rustic Ranch was not only accommodating, but also understanding of our situation. Compounding the matter is that Lava, a rescue dog from Iraq, has “issues” that most people are unable or unwilling to deal with. Kristi immediately understood Lava, and sensing that, he took to her and the staff at K9RR immediately. Living near the coast, we were concerned with the need to take Lava to Valley Center for boarding. You needn’t ever have this concern. Regardless of your location, Kristi will pick up AND deliver you canine companion to your home — day, night, rain or shine!

When we got home from our vacation, Kristi was there shortly after our arrival with a very happy and energetic Lava in tow. In fact, I’m certain he was sad to have to leave Kristi and all his new best friends. The environment at K9RR is very open and provides the perfect setting for dogs to just be dogs, while receiving expert care so that you can relax and enjoy your time away, knowing your best friend is in good and loving hands. I would recommend Kristi and K9RR for anyone in need of professional, courtesy and compassionate boarding facilities during their time away from home or any time their dog needs a break from them! Happy, our 2 year old GSD, has stayed at Rustic Ranch three times in 2009. Each time it was made easy. The free pickup and delivery was always on time, which is helpful when you’re trying to juggle everything readying for a trip to the airport.

The first time Happy stayed at “the Ranch” we only had him a month after rescuing him, and we were concerned about leaving him so soon. Kristi and Tom’s experience in handling dogs made us feel at ease, and everything went smoothly.

We will continue to board Happy at Rustic Ranch, and feel fortunate that we can leave him with such experienced handlers and trainers. They each have taken time working and playing with him everyday.

Happy has some allergies, and they will carefully follow diet instructions. You really have nothing to worry about when you leave your dog at Rustic Ranch.

We hate to leave our dog Emma behind when we travel out of town, but we know she likes being at K9 Rustic Ranch. Emma has been boarded at several other kennels and has always come home either sick or sad. When she comes home from K9 Rustic Ranch, she is happy and full of her “normal” energy. The last time Kristi came to pick Emma, she tried to jump in the truck without looking back. So when we go on vacation, we send Emma on vacation to K9 Rustic Ranch. Having a great place to board Emma is one of the few things we don’t have to worry about.

We are very close to our dogs, Jack and Phoenix. They are an extension of our family and are treated as such. However, when faced with a trip that Jack and Phoenix were not able attend, we decided to send them to K9 Rustic Ranch. Honestly, we were a bit nervous about leaving them and concerned for their safety while we were away.

Thankfully, the Riche family at K9 Rustic Ranch made this decision a very easy one for all of us. They were very professional and were genuinely concerned about the well-being of our Jack and Phoenix.

We instantly fell in love with their family and the service offered to our dogs. We were also grateful for all the “extra” services. The free bath and the pick-up/delivery service were awesome. Both our dogs smelled and looked so nice when they were brought home. Our dogs seemed genuinely happy to be there. Our next trip there will be no hesitation in calling K9 Rustic Ranch. Thank you for the peace of mind in knowing you treat our dogs like they were your own.
